Community Shares is a decades old organization that stands in the gap for social and environmental justice fund raising in the workplace. This gap helped to catalyze the work that continues today as we further the mission of collaborative fundraising across Tennessee.
Additional layer to your development strategy
Workplace fundraising is a sustained form of fundraising that can work seamlessly into your development work. Currently 40 workplaces offer their employees an opportunity to give to Community Shares member groups. Our collaborative work is to increase giving in those workplaces and to add additional workplaces to that group of businesses and nonprofits that are funding chane across the State.
Co Pollination across the State
Membership meetings provide an opportunity for member groups to share their work, current events and soundboard issues that surface in Non-Profits. Working across the areas of Women and Families, Justice and Equality, Arts and Media, Animal Welfare, Disability Justice and Environmental Welfare, Community Shares offers a space for collaboration on work that advances the needs of our community.
